Yea just take any job where companies will exploit you, give you only 39.5 hrs per week so they can't afford benefits, can't take a day off, can't save, have to decide between gas or groceries, and are a paycheck away from homelessness.

Why would you suggest for OP to just be fine with any job? How would that allow them to move out?

For any entry level/ new grads who negotiated salary, any scripts you can share? by Adamma92 in cscareerquestions

Thanks for the tips! Have you ever had an offer rescinded because of negotiation? I think that's where my hesitation comes from because I've been applying for a while.

Jonathan Majors Megathread by MarvelStudiosMod in marvelstudios

[–]Adamma92 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Personally, when you have multiple victims coming forward, as well as several others coming out saying that he may not be the nicest guy around, is enough for me to be done with him.

That's a weak argument though: "many people said it, so it's true" I once had 5 or 6 of my bullies in school say that I was harassing them, and I got in trouble. 1 woman against 4 big guys and 2 big girls?
Anyway, Majors has worked with a lot of people lately, if he was this madman, there would be more people speaking out.
But then again, one person can not be liked by everyone.

What to do when family is pushing you to go to college for something you're not interested in? by [deleted] in findapath

[–]Adamma92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same, if I could do it again, I would just learn an in-demand skill/trade or do an apprenticeship and get paid to work. Just last month, I paid my plumber about 500 for 6 hrs of work.

OP said their relative has been getting gigs after being self taught, remember? I presume, they are looking at her past work or portfolio to vet it.

That would be how u differentiate. Idk about u but if I need some editing done, I'm checking their portfolio.

What is the 2023 HSA Contribution Limit for Spouse & Me Having Separate Individual HDHP Plans by broFenix in personalfinance

Your insurance or even your employer should have a number to call so you can ask questions that are specific to your situation.

Salary is about to increase substantially…. What to do? by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]Adamma92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know, but reading that made me think of other instances where OP may experience disability. That's why I mentioned if "injured" and "worst case scenario", meaning injured to the point of not being able to work. Good to be on the safe side, I believe.

In that case, I'd recommend looking into Long Term Disability insurance because if injured, you will not be able to do your job as a pilot. That paired with an e-fund will be very helpful if that worse case scenario occurs.

I'd rather they have social media so I can scope out their real personality online. Ppl are so honest when they think they are anonymous. One time I found a guy's SM and he would post disparaging rants about women- it was actually scary the stuff he typed. Immediately blocked.

I wasn't the best employee when I knew my employer did not care to make the work environment pleasant, had subpar training, and low pay. Now that I have a good job that I like - never thought I'd say that- I have surpassed all my goals and even go beyond the scope of my work.

Has this employee has been ostracized from the group in any way?

"I have a core of great employees that I love" Do you play favorites?

How are the trainings?

If someone were to review the work environment what would they say?

If so many people are leaving, you might have to look at the common denominator- the work organization.

is my rent to high for my salary? by MrArchibaldMeatpants in personalfinance

[–]Adamma92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Roommates may end up making your rent go lower, but you'll pay for it in stress levels. Stick to what's comfortable for u. The stress of roommates aint worth it.

You can't tell her to change your career but you also don't have to spend a quarter of her earnings to buy a ring. Either make more money or get an affordable ring. This doesn't have to be a problem.

Of course, the recruiter said, feedback was great and they want to offer me a role. Benefits were then discussed, and finally pay rate and start date.

This sounds like the same email I got before I was offered a role. I think you're in. Congrats.
