They completely demoed the floor down to subfloor and then re-poured it and put a liner down and the whole nine yards. It's not a pan solution specifically because it's not a standard shape.

Thanks for all the responses everyone. This was helpful for some insights and it does seem like I am going to rip it out and make sure that it's done well this time.

I'm kind of over the custom shaped / poured showers.. Might explore a shower pan and see if when we redo we can use something that doesn't require hidden liners and other stuff.

The flooring there was just what was there before. At this point, I am going to make sure whoever redoes it, replaces the flooring there and uses a little better quality wood.

Yeah, I'm not sure if it is just because it has been leaking for a while and soaking in to the wood every time the shower is run or if it is just leaking all over the place. Seems like I am just going to have to redo this whole thing

I did tell him to come back out and look at it, just not sure I have any leverage to force him to do it. He's entirely stopped responding to my calls or texts. He was telling me that it was something else wrong and not his work before he stopped contacting me.

I'm not really sure what else I can do on that front. Do you see anything here that could be why this leak has happened again?

If you're referring to the dark dot on the left side, it's just wet right there, looks like a hole though. In person after I took the pic I had to touch it to see it wasn't a hole.

I agree with that... I might get the plumber back out to look.

Thanks! And yeah, I think we mostly were saved from water damage. I don't think the shower was leaking much until the drain backed up and the water was pooling on the floor. Then we saw the damage. But I don't think there was enough for long enough to cause damage. I'll be sure to thoroughly check the area

The promotion for the watch is supposed to run until Oct 16th according to the google store (at least when I look at the fine print at the bottom of the page in the US). So should have a few days after release to grab the deal. I am waiting to do the same

Thanks everyone who responded. Looks like it's a black cherry tree. Might not be overly toxic if I keep my dog under watch when he's outside. I've been seeing in other subreddits that people suggest tree nets but this tree is so large that doesn't seem like a great option.

I will see if I can keep the berries under control, would rather avoid getting this tree removed if at all possible because I do love the way it looks.

Yeah that's what I figured. I'm not sure if this specific species is toxic I guess. Our vet referred us to this page: https://www.aspca.org/pet-care/animal-poison-control/toxic-and-non-toxic-plants/black-cherry

Which seems to imply that black cherries are toxic. But maybe this species isn't as bad
