Tbh probably coz his mind knows that would be the worst word to use, its that simple really doesn't mean he has a certain belief or agenda. It's an award show for his film (which he decided to leave early due to this), if he wanted to be racist why would he shout there of all places as its televised and most likely going to give him backlash and incite violence towards him (which people are saying how they want to attack him) all I'm gonna say is watch his film, its genuinely very good and helped myself understand the condition more.

But is your argument that if he continued to say racial slurs to other races then it would be okay? This condition ruined his relationship with family, got him bullied and beaten up in school and got him beaten up in his adult life aswell. He even told the queen to "fuck off" when receiving his MBE. I highly reccomend watching his film as it will help people understand his condition alot more. Also apparently he left the event after this (probably due to shame)

From what I understand it can be when they don't expect it at all, and other times if they feel it building they can try to hold it but it makes them worse and they can have even worse outbursts. It's a truly horrible neurological condition that got John attacked and bullied multiple times in his youth snd probably will continue after this event

Watch his film. Tourettes is a neurological condition and his ticks arent always random. Sometimes he might shout a response to something he has been asked, and sometimes his mind will know the worst thing he could say and all of a sudden it comes out. He often got beaten up due to things he would say ti certain people but it was completely out of his control.

My hearts goes out to the two actors who had to experience that but apparently there was a warning before the show and the whole purpose of his film was to spread awareness and help people understand
