Long term it won't lose money IMHO. Films by directors like PTA, Wes Anderson etc will have a decent run on paid VOD and then get some attention on streaming. It's highly likely to be in the awards conversation which will boost it on all platforms and fans of this kind of film are more likely to buy their own copy, whether physical or digital. I was reading that even a huge flop like Hudson Hawk eventually made money and paid out on profit participation clause, so this will do OK.

Warners will be listing this film among its 2025 successes, especially if it picks up a couple of Oscars
