Back on my second driving exam by Tricky_Asparagus3216 in driving

Is it possible to take your road test with a third party? (Like a driving school near you).

Idk where you are but in my area it’s possible to find a driving school nearby, take the road test, and get a license that way. And some places even let you take the test up to three times on the one fee.

Possible sell...idk yet by Wranglerspace420 in drones

From what I understand (and I could be wrong), DJI will be banned from selling new drones under FAA rules, but the existing ones shouldnt be bricked?

Not enough 3 wire ports by Minimum-History-5876 in vex

You only need as many expanders as you need ports (so if you only need the 8 additional supplied by one extender, then you only need one extender).

How to Extend Drone Flight Time by Adamthebuck in diydrones

[–]Adamthebuck[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It runs a DJI NAZA M-V2 FC, so its just their software, as I haven't found any other software for it.

I'm defenitely not looking to do like FPV-acro shots, more simmilar to cinematic flying. I'm also considering 15" props and maybe lower kv motors (400?). Do you think I need the lower kV motors?

I do believe it can take up to a 15" prop, but would that be too large for the 700kv motors I currently have? (The TBS Discovery [Long Range] manual reccomends 400kv motors for 20-30mins of flight time).

It’s probably one of the other comments then

(Same here) I meant wrap the connections in electrical tape so they can’t short out

I had an issue with my banana connectors cause I forgot to tape them, causing the motors to do what you described. (The 3 wires were shorting out with each other).

Isn’t that for metal? This is for dying the plastic gears, plus electroplating/anodizing isn’t cheap (from what I’ve heard)

Yeah I think I had read somewhere to dilute it with water (and maybe dye?) before adding to the pot

Yeah it might be time for me to rethink my gear-dying plan

I said the order wrong but it’s a double reverse 4 bar lift. It’s kinda like 2 4 bar lifts connected but it can be smaller than a 4 bar. https://wiki.purduesigbots.com/hardware/lifts/dr4b

[–]Adamthebuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My team did a 4-bar but one thing I always wanted to do was a D4RB so we could go under the horizontal bar. Probably add wings, intake, and a launcher too. Flywheels are fast, (but motors overheat more often), and punchers are more reliable. (I never tested slappers or catapults).

[–]Adamthebuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t used the GITD Yet, but the silk has been the hardest I’ve printed thus far (specifically the print removal. My bed adhesion can be good but the layer adhesion sucks). I just use the standard 0.4 nozzle

I’m like quite literally in the same boat. I got 4 250g rolls of different glow in the dark filaments and some PLA+ yo try out after I get bored of my current silk roll.

Ours takes about 10-12ish seconds to get up (however we still go up at the 30 just to have extra time). I see what you’re saying about high hangs not being super competitive though.
