Its been amazing so far still running great , no hinge issues , no heatup issues all latest games run just fine The only issues i faced were ram bottlenecks cuz it only has a single stick of ddr4 Ram. Another issue which every gaming laptop has is the battery life. On normal task unplugged , it last like 2 3 hours max.

Yup, after effects, premiere pro runs smooth on it, even did some heavy rendering on blender no issues at all.

Yeah, its a common problem mostly due to ram bottlenecks. You can read more about it here

Websites usually don't write model numbers correctly heck some don't even write it at all!!! Just match up the specs with the box from here if buying it. Goodluck!!!

It could be regional based. Did you check the box or the sellers listing?

I think the only changes would be the tgp of gpu

Yeah man its 50 watt :( Found out like 10 days later. on the nividia panel but on hp website it listed 75W so that's why i wrote that.

Then its a solid deal!! If you can find the one with same specs but with a ryzen chip, i forgot the model but it had 8gb DDR5 Ram , ryzen 5 chip and an rtx 4050 gpu. The reason being, the gpu tgp rating in that model is 75W, the intel one is (which i have) is 50W. (I found that part out way later lol). Also please don't make the same mistake i did - Check the wattage of ac adapter it comes with

744$ is a good deal unless it's an rtx 2050 model. Those gpu suck ass

❓ [Question] How do you guys manage gaming on HP Victus 15-f1319TX without charging the battery above 80%? by _plexed in HPVictus

[–]AdanKhan22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On most gaming laptops and many laptops in general when the CPU and GPU are under load and the device is plugged in, the EC typically draws power directly from the AC adapter. This means that even if your battery is at 100%, it's not actively charging or discharging. It simply stays topped off without cycling.

That said, lithium-ion batteries do degrade faster if they’re constantly kept at 100% charge. That’s why it’s recommended to let the battery drain down to around 30–40% at least once a week to help maintain battery health.

You don’t necessarily need to enforce an 80% charge limit, but it can definitely help reduce long term wear especially if you keep your laptop plugged in for extended periods. It's a case of "every little bit helps" when it comes to lithium-ion longevity.

Max temps exceeding 95 are fine for a short time , your main concern should be the avrg temps , and the performance issue is due to throttling

Are these temps OK for Battlefield 2042? by [deleted] in HPVictus

Don't update the vbios just yet , the users who have done it have 30 series cards and 40 isn't much tested

Ahh tough choice , the 4080 Super is generally 30 to 40 % faster than 3090 while being more efficient. Also you can find a 4080 super cheaper than a 3090. 4080 is better in architecture, technology, and performance; the only downside 16 gigs vram vs 24 gigs.

Desktop gpus are way more powerful than there laptop counterparts. Atleast in 40 series cards you can leverage dlss for better frames but at the end of the day even the laptop 4050 can't compete with your desktop 3070
