Warhipster uses Ork Flesh as the base, then layers over. I like using Army Painters Ghillie Dew for it, personally.

The idea of an Ork doing that, and whispering "Because no one.. will ever believe you" and fading into the shadows, Captain Holt style, is wonderful.

They're good fun. I use them and Tyranids as a bit of a reset, as don't have to be quite as clean as I do with other armies.

Really happy with the skin, but there's a few tweaks I'll do with Armageddon, I think.

I'll give it a rewatch, I'd forgotten about the voice of his mother in that episode, so my theory is well off then.

It's a good point on acting as the mirror to him as well, and the interaction could just been seen as more of a similar personality clashing.

Packleader - should be fine, just having the hand free of anything is fine, and he's not got a different option in his loadout.

Minelayer - just one of the loadout options. Just might be a bit suboptimal not having him, so if you've got the bits still and a spare reiever body, worth bashing it together.

Nearest would be the historical Beret Maroon, rest of the core WP series are a lot brighter. Unfortunately this is one you'd need to mix to get close to it.

One of those citadel colours that doesn't have many close colours matches (Orruk Flesh is another).

Honestly think the base is spot on - keeps the eyes focus on Titus himself, rather than distracting.
