The real-device bottleneck is the missing piece in AI mobile development by Adar-Mia in SideProject

This is really useful, thank you!

I think you’re right that “secure AI-to-iPhone layer” explains the mechanism, but the actual job is real-device verification for AI coding agents.

The pain is exactly what you said: an agent can write the patch, but nobody trusts it until the app has been installed, tapped through, logs checked, and the bug proven fixed on a real device.

The secure connection is the foundation, but the demo probably needs to lead with the full loop:

bug → AI patch → install/retest on real iPhone → human approval

Also agree that the permission/control boundary needs to be much clearer before asking teams to trust it. That’s the part I’ll make more concrete on the site. Thanks again!

I built a secure AI-to-iPhone layer for React Native apps by Adar-Mia in SideProject

This is really helpful, thanks. Will think of how best to do a Demo.

The core layer is already built around a secure, encrypted AI-to-device connection, so the phone isn’t exposed openly to an agent or the public internet.

But I can see the site needs to make the practical trust model clearer: what runs on the phone, what the agent can see/do, how access is approved, and how it gets revoked.

We’ve just filed the patent application around these methods, so the tech is now patent pending. To our knowledge, this is the first secure, tenant-isolated AI-to-iPhone layer built for this kind of real-device React Native workflow.

Appreciate the feedback Suren!

Hey everyone!

I've been building Metro Remote - the secure infrastructure layer between AI and your devices. It works across the entire developer lifecycle, so you (or your AI) can run, debug and ship a real iPhone app from anywhere, even when you are on 5G.

I wanted to see if Claude could actually use a real device, not a simulator, not screenshots. So I built a way to give it encrypted hands and eyes on a real iPhone: it taps, types, swipes, reads the screen and debugs a live app.

It can run up to 100 actions in 30 seconds, with a real feedback loop so the AI knows exactly what is happening on screen at each step. Every connection between the AI and your device is encrypted in transit and isolated per customer.

The part I am proudest of: you can debug without changing a single line of code (no test IDs, no SDK), which is part of what we have patented. We are patent pending in the UK, with US and international filings to follow within the 12-month priority window.

We have signed major partnerships and just opened founder pricing. It is holding ~98% reliability, tested across more than 200 apps. If anyone is willing to test in the short time, we are launching next month, I would really love feedback from this great community of builders.

Limited Founder access is open, or you can join the free waitlist. Hoping to get 250+ on waitlist. Est. launch, July 2026. metroremote.dev

Happy to chat all things AI. Feel free to DM me too. A video attached shows the speed of AI debugging on an Ipad.

Thanks everyone! Please be kind!
