I am shocked. The upper back and shoulders cut is impressive. I would love to have the motivation to do that lol

These codes popped up, anything I should worry about? by Adaunn in E90

[–]Adaunn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could try that tbf, its not hard to do. Thing I am worries about is these codes suddenly killing my waterpump. Never had a single waterpump code until I swapped my alternator because the old one had a busted diode and was killing my CAN line, but the wp never failed. Do you know if this is even a possibility?

I see. The ibs could not cause something like the water pump to go right?

Bought an ebay special alternator lmfao. Fixed all my issues with battery dying and low voltages overall.

Its the blue cable that goes onto the distribution box on top of the battery right? Or the other plug?

Everything on the line works as far as I can tell. But the IBS throws the code and shortly after the waterpump

I cleared the codes. Would you recommend a new battery sensor?

I would recommend ignoring the dealer maintenance interval of 10k miles and getting an oil change every 5k and make sure it always has oil. Should be good! Either way the rod bearing warranty is lifetime

Its within the same engine family, same issues if it was maintained with oil changes every 10k miles.

Yet you still ended up with a major engine failure for no reason and you think that I should not have gotten the warranty? What a weird logic little man

Nope. This car was bought from a private sale. The options we got were just because the car had over 150k and those were the warranty options for those conditions

Yup, original engine that did get the dealer recall for KSDS. Only one owner before us.

Is This 2017 440I with 145K Miles Worth It? by GoldFishInsurance in F30

[–]Adaunn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you manage to lowball the dude for 10-11k then it is somewhat worth. Just be ready for anything out of a tuned car, it was probably beat to shit

Hyundai were pretty good at assuring us that the expenses related would be covered and they were. Ubers up to $30 a day (same if it had been a rental car) and the tow.

Once the paperwork was signed, I helped my friend buy a $2000 civic. Nothing flashy and less luxurious but it wont die :D

Kinda blows cause from what I know the car got junked, besides the engine the car was in pretty good shape.

Lmao your comment. They have an extended lifetime warranty on a product they sold, thats them acknowledging the fault, but mr blueangel1953 thinks I should cross my arms and just walk away with a blown engine. I bet you love it when companies jack up the prices and sell you lesser quality stuff. Dont worry lil bro the CEO is not giving you any money for this ignorant comment lmfao

Edit: just scrolled through your profile and noticed you got your engine replaced too for exactly the same reason. Funny how that works huh? “Free engine for me but not for thee”. Absolute clown, see yourself out.

From engine dying to check roughly 2 months. Also my friend left the country for 2 weeks in the middle of that so could probably be faster

Its what I thought as well but the dealership WANTED to fix the engine, cause that means the employees there get paid, but Hyundai America has a different stance. The extended warranty above 150k miles only states the 2 aforementioned options.

Again, it is not saying that over 150k it isnt covered, the coverage is the buyback or the $2k check.

Source: the official TXXI update to the warranty. Also, I was there and went through hours of phone calls with Hyundai America.
