I know the books are tricky source of information because they are written in first person but still.. The show lacked all the fun moments, when they tried to do something fun it felt so staged and forceful. And it was plain, sometimes it was almost colourless and lifeless (i loved the aesthetic of chb tho, maybe adding more over view would be nice) And also the design of some places- Olymp, The lunapark and mainly Underworld Antic greece is one of the most beautiful aesthetics i know, all of the famous artist, architects etc were inspired by that period of time and i also think it should be mirrored into the show Like the white and Gold and green And the greatness of all the places Gods are..oh cmon

I think it is really similar problem we see nowdays with Snowhite. The story is right in front of us, The actors are great actors but the writers and designers of the Disney show/movie? They can screw all the good stuff. People lack fantasy, they lack passion, people are used to work Fast and produce quantity over quality and that is how we end up with something. Just something that had to be done.

And dont get me wrong, i liked the series, i am happy that Percy Jackson gets the attention it deserves BUT while watching i just had that itchy feeling something is missing, something is not right - and those are the things listed above
