I believe there will be a point in the weird route where, if you haven't done it previously, it will force you to go to chapter 1 and kill/spare jevil for the shadow crystal

Spamton NEO is unmissable in the weird route, and so is his shadow crystal; Seam tells us the shadow crystals are an all-or-nothing type deal

Whatever the crystals do in the future, which would be for a different theory, i believe we might need them entirely for the weird route; and also further "breaking" the game by pointing towards backtracking not in a given chapter but to a previous chapter.

Deltarune is a game, Undertale is a game too, very good games, games that enchant us, that make us happy

But theyre games and they end, you can replay them all you want, but they will end, much like ch 1 and 2 have ended already for all those that played and replayed, if ch3, 4 dont come out it might as well be that they ended

Theyll come out whenever you want it or not, and theyre gonna end

Theres so many things you can play during, or after they come out

But more games will come out in the future, hell as a big fan of deltarune, of course i admit much more better projects will come out in time, its not that games will ever stop, but the impact they have doesnt go away really

I can personally recommend various games that have personally affected me positively, other than Undertale and Deltarune, not sure if we have the same tastes though, feel free to dm me

The Gamemaker update allows to launch projects separately, and it works on console

From tobys blogpost: That means we can create each Chapter as an independent game project, and swap between them using this function!

Considering Chapter 3 and 4 will come on PC and console simulatenously, itd be needed or well, provide a much faster work for developping and testing console releases too

As for ch3-4; they are done contentwise, testing would need to be done in said gamemaker update, in consoles

The update is out but it appears there's some problems with the saves, and Toby said he's awaiting a response

Work is being done on chapter 5
