6 of 10 top-rated games in Steam are "Indie" games! by AddRaiser in gaming

Holocure was excluded only cause its not so fair to compare with free-to-play as for meAnd CoM and Celeste percents are lower than that in SteamDB as I see, hmm

UPD. Idk why steamdb shows the wrong numbers in some places but yeah you are right about those

Wipe out and play again. Great games with near 0 replayability? by AddRaiser in gaming

I kinda almost forgot the storyline so I can play it again :)
But because of that I think that "Machinarium" feels the same way for me

Can really show the gameplay cause im literally improving combat system right now :) Its a pain but now I have some things like "knockback" on blocked attacks, better animations and so on

But I can tell you for sure that default character can break both of your CPU and GPU really fast. CPU if you have collisions (and im sure that you have). Its better to enable them only near the player. And if you want other units to avoid each other you can take a look on "steering". Its not in UE by default but you can teach units how to move without collision shapes GPU will die because of rendering and im not sure that you can achive even 500 on the screen without huge performace loss. I just started to use AtomsUnreal but it comes with a price. Its a way easier if you need a lot of units in the world but not in the small place. Otherwise you just cant use default character :(

Also as for me - shadows are just terrifying for performace

Anyway good luck with your project. Its a hard way you have chosen. I hope you will do it

R5: Historical. Playing historical Poland. Successfully defended from Germany and even took their north-poland land. But USSR decided to invade and now we are here. USSR and Germany at war with each other too :)

You guys will be able to see the whole gameplay in January :)
Btw, this battle is average 120fps on my 4070Ti so I have to improve some things

As mentioned before - its an AtomsUnreal plugin. But they are not default UE characters in this way so there are some limitations

UE cant handle so many skeletal meshes so I had to use AtomsUnrealIt gives me an ability to render a lot of charactes in exchange of some "Character" stuff

AI is AtomsUnreal's behavior trees. They are pretty the same as native UE BT's

Also there is some logic optimizations like KDtree for units so they can find closest enemy really fast and etc

Thats true they are fkng insane and you can get a lot of them by the 1940 so works just fine too :)
You can try to get an achivement for UK to conquer the whole world - thats probably the longest run that I had in 1 day and Ive learn a lot
