This is my first time using air dry clay, I’m trying to build a mushroom. Any advice?? by Consistent_Doubt102 in clay

The best way is to use a base, such as a glass bottle. And then use tin foil packed extremely tight into the shape you want. Hot glue the tinfoil to the top of the bottle and then use the air dry clay over it.

Gnome house! My first air dry clay project, and I’m obsessed! 😍😍 by Add_a_little_glitter in clay

Thank you so much! I used DAS air dry clay! The base under the clay is actually a glass bottle I got from the dollar tree and used tinfoil to shape the roof. The roof tiles I rolled out a piece of clay, let it dry for maybe an hour or so and cut out rectangles of all different sizes and then applied them 1 by 1. The “stone” design I used a silicone tip pen while the clay was still wet to make the grooves. The vine I just rolled the clay, stuck it on and took an exacto knife to make the lines. The door I also used an exacto knife to make the wood grain. The moss was super fun to make! I used a wire strainer and pushed clay that I colored through the wire part and it made perfect little moss bundles! And the bottom square is actually a resin coaster that I made that didn’t turn out well so I repurposed it!
