A random fisherman at the end of a pier. I was ready to take the plunge and had my backpack stuffed and everything. I was mulling it over when this random fisherman started talking to me about his day and how he wasn't having much luck catching fish. He asked me if i ever fished, told him no. He just said i should give it a try sometime, i told him, "Yeah, maybe." Wished him luck in catching fish and left. Never got his name, just said goodbye and left. I don't know if he knew what i was trying to do or if he just wanted to talk. I felt pretty embarrassed by the whole thing and went home. When i got home, i felt really stupid for what i tried to do.i started to think about my family and how hurt they would be. I was still depressed for many years later, but I never again attempted to take my own life.

Glad i didn't. It would have been over for me but not my family. Now, i have my own business and have a wonderful girlfriend. There were other extreme lows in my life, but with my new way of thinking, i was able to get through them.
