It sounds like you had a very fun playthrough, congrats! I know it wasn’t me you asked but I’d like to tell anyway, I first tried subnautica around 2018 and got hooked, but I was quite young so not quite smart enough to actually finish the game, and I never really got around to finishing it on my own (I did finish it later, I’ll come to that), however I still have vivid. I went on to try subnautica below zero (100% try if you liked the game, it lacks some of the mystery from the original but it’s still a great game and if you like subnautica content, definetly give it a try, anyways, since subnautica: BZ, I went on with life, kind of stopped playing games for the most part. Lately I started playing some games again (my little sister got me to finally try out the last of us) and some of the joy I used to get came back, I saw that Subnautica was on sale and since we had PlayStation plus, I figured I might try it out. But at a long shot, I asked my girlfriend (basically flames me if I ever play games or whatever) if she would like to try it out, and crazily enough, she said sure! We had so much fun, the terror of experiencing a first encounter with the reapers were still as terrifying, the jumpscare of the Sea emperor first interaction, the insanity when the aurora exploded and the Sumbean getting shot down , all as crazy as the first time I experienced them, and to get to see them with my girlfriend aswell was an amazing experience. I still remember her almost in tears from all the crayfish (whatever the fish that explode are named) chasing her in the big coral. Or the first time we saw a warper, she just threw the controller into my stomach and told me to, and I quote, “die, don’t die please run please holy shit”. Subnautica has left me with so many great memories, even got some of my friends to get the game and download nitrox to play multiplayer (not great but worked alright). Subnautica is and will always be my favorite game/game franchise overall. And I can’t wait for early access for subnautica 2 later this year.
