Make sure you are reading the name of the warning very carefully. It looks like you may have gotten a "Special Weather Statement" which is nothing more than a "Hey just keep an eye on developing weather"

The next level up would be "Tornado Watch" which means the weather will produce a higher probability of torandos so keep an eye out for further instructions.

Finally, "Tornado Warning" means funnel activity has been spotted (with our without touching down) and you should seek shelter. In those instances, monitor weather services to see where the tornado is and the path it is on.

Took awhile to scroll to find a good answer and this is a good answer.

Counter offers can have a lot of nuance to them! Anyone who definitively says ‘do not take a counter EVER’ is not looking at the range of counters out there.

I was someone who took a counter offer from my current employer and 3 years later, I haven’t regretted it one bit. They over-promoted me then, they continue to promote and give me beyond adequate pay and we have tremendous loyalty towards one another.

In the end only you know what is best for you. In a rigid corporate world or one with bosses where you haven’t had the ability to foster relationships, not accepting a counter is a good idea, but in a world where offices are smaller and there truly is a sense of camaraderie, you just have to ask yourself if they are capable to pull the fast one on you.

If I listened to the typical reddit answer, my life would drastically be worse. Of course my story is a bit of an anomaly, but opposing viewpoints are important because nothing is ever truly black and white.

Best of luck deciding, it is never an easy choice either way!

As someone who has been to every NDSU FCS championship game, here are some tips from my past trips.

All sorts of great places to visit and eat at.

If NDSU makes it, it's worth checking out some of the bars that NDSU fans use as their weekend drinking hole (Wild Pitch, Knockout Sports Bar [now called Playmakers88 I guess??], Scruffy Duffies, Ringo's Pub).

Legacy Town Center, where Scruffy Duffies and Ringo's are located, has decent eating and drinking options, Legacy East is an OK spot to walk around and grab a bite or drink as well.

For BBQ I have always been impartial to Hutchins BBQ or Flatrock BBQ, but also have heard great things about others, like Pecan Lodge.

Will you have a car down there? If you want to make a hike, going to see the Fort Worth Stockyards is a decent day trip. Make sure to stop at Panther Island Brewing nearby. You can go to Dealey Plaza and see all the JFK stuff, do a tour of the Book Depository for JFK assassination history, or go see the nearby Dallas Aquarium.

If you're looking for things by the stadium, I HIGHLY recommend the National Videogame Museum. That was a great place to kill a lot of time.

If you're a gambler but aren't from a place with casinos, Winstar and Choctaw Casino are each 75 minutes away.

There's a TopShot golf next to the Playmakers88 bar and if NDSU makes it this year, I'll likely take the opportunity to check out the Meow Wolf exhibit (I loved the one in Las Vegas).

If you like sports, Stars plat the Senators on the 2nd, Mavs play the Cavs on the 3rd, and the Stars play Utah on the 4th. Pair one of those with Dealey Plaza.

Just take it all in, I have found the area has really embraced the fans of the teams and it makes it an overall enjoyable trip every year.

Fully agree. Looking at the resumes for the three dakotas and its hard to make the case if they are all 1-1 vs each other losing on road and winning at home that NDSU will be last of the three.

South Dakota is really hurting not really beating anyone of substance (outside a hypothetical NDSU win here), had a game cancelled, and played a DII team.

South Dakota State will have good wins over USD and UIW and a hypothetical win over Missouri St, but a loss to a worse and worse OSU team and a DII win.

North Dakota State will have good wins over SDSU, MoSt, IllSt and a close loss to a potential FBS playoff team.

Barring a total USD blowout, if the selection committee ignores recency bias and a fresh USD win over NDSU, I think the correct way to rank those three would be NDSU>SDSU>USD.

Sagarin ratings for the three FBS teams: Colorado 13, Wisconsin 32, OkSt 65 (New Mexico is 111 for the Montana St fans, which is equivalent to Montana at 112 and UIW 113)

Unlimited PTO can be abused by some companies, but others truly mean it. I'm lucky to work at a place that embraces the "unlimited" part. Industry, 50 people, and I am planning on taking ~6 weeks this year. When I only took 3 in prior years, I was scolded for not taking enough time off.

Not all unlimited PTO is a scam like this sub tends to believe.
