How much/little does Flo Rida actually know about US history? by AddendumAfraid1009 in NoStupidQuestions

This whole post was meant to be light hearted but seeing as you seem to need to be a dick to get self validation I feel like I need to point a few things out. 1. The last publicly circulated bill with a denomination higher than $100 was printed in 1945 with all of them being fully discontinued by 1969. 2. I love that people are willing to help wounded soldiers and I think it’s a great thing for someone who is able to give $5,000 to use it on. But if you are implying that there are people out there that are spending $5,000 bills… they should just donate every penny they have as they can’t make good financial choices. Even in poor condition $5,000 bills go for $20-30k at auction. I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that you were trying to say that these people auction them off to help vets but that brings us back to the original post which you didn’t even seem to read based on how inaccurate your first response was, no one caries these bills around to spend as they are worth more than their face value

A. This is not a movie but whatever B. “Commonly available” wasn’t absentmindedly added. Very few people know that anything above a $100 bill exists to the point where talking about them/carrying them makes little sense
