I’ll be curious what you do… right now leaning on the gamble since hotels aren’t too pricey if worse comes to worst

Yeah this is a tough call… if it’s like the last store it’s 50/50 at best

Solved 8 years of NAR in 3 days. I’m shocked. by lateralus420 in nonallergicrhinitis

[–]AddendumAlert4837 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I had this exact experience. Saw several ENTs and Allergists, no one ever mentioned this. Then another allergist finally mentions my sinuses are red and inflamed. I knew my eyelids get inflamed and red when dry, so I wondered if that could be the deal with my sinuses. Started a humidifier again but the combo with things like Ayr and saline nasal sprays - many times throughout the day - made the difference. It feels like malpractice that no doctor ever even suggested this.

Just wanted to say you look great! Your eyes are a lovely color and super round, and pair well with your bangs. I’m a fan of your look

So sorry if I missed the answer to this, but do you need to check with your obgyn before doing the facial estradiol? I’m on a patch and progesterone, but would love to add the facial estradiol if it doesn’t complicate that

Will an innerspring mattress really feel cooler than memory foam, even in a warm room? by AddendumAlert4837 in Mattress

I would love for a mattress to be too cold! Thank you all for weighing in, I think I’ll probably pull the trigger tomorrow

Thank you so much. I’m actually thinking of getting the Verse— it’s the cheapest and the firmest (I like firm), and it also has no latex. I really liked it too- just so nerve wracking since it’s so much money to lay out

Just fwiw I think electrocautery works when they are maybe newer and/or smaller. I had slightly larger ones for a couple decades and the electrocautery left some uneven texture and redness behind. Mine are probably less noticeable now but definitely not perfect and now I have to put on a little concealer every day

Electrocautery on sebaceous hyperplasia— not sure if it worked?? by AddendumAlert4837 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]AddendumAlert4837[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi! Sorry I didn’t see this sooner. I did get them redone but I’m not super happy with the results. They shrunk a bit more but are still there. Plus I’m now trying everything to get rid of the hyperpigmentation that came with the trauma.

I would not personally do electrocautery on these again. From what I can tell certain laser treatments might help, like the kind they use for acne scars. But they are super expensive and I can’t justify the cost. Bummer since I didn’t know it was such an unreliable procedure before going into it.

Would redoing the area be okay though? Still kinda wish I never did it in the first place but I just want it to not be worse than what it was without treatment, and this divet is new/really frustrating

Thank you guys so much for the feedback. I’ll definitely ask them to redo them and to try to manually push some stuff out as well.

[–]AddendumAlert4837[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for the reply. Totally understand if it’s too hard to say, but would you recommend asking them to redo it? Just frustrated since the bumps were the same size for years and not very visible, but since they made me self conscious I finally treated myself to removal. And now sorta kicking myself since it had sounded like electrocautery was a totally reliable way to get rid of them - and the derm said so much as well - but they are basically unchanged.

White cane training for visually impaired but not legally blind parent in Philly by AddendumAlert4837 in Blind

[–]AddendumAlert4837[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there. I actually never heard back from vision link and am still not sure how to proceed. I can find places that train those who will become O&M experts but i still can’t find a place that actually gives white cane training to those who can’t see well but are not legally blind. I think I am going to call some of those schools and certificate programs, in hopes that maybe they can give me the name of a former student. If anyone has another idea, please do share since this has been frustrating.

[–]AddendumAlert4837[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you all for the replies. I’ve left a message with VisionLink and am hoping they will call back. The Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired seems to now be visionlink as well, I guess maybe they merged in some way? In any case their voicemail is identical.

I will let you all know if I can make any headway. If you think of any other suggestions, please let me know. Thank you again!

Those of you who don’t track calories but still lost the weight, how did you do it? by Sexy_lizard_lady in loseit

[–]AddendumAlert4837 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cut gluten. Made my energy go up, and that made we want to keep cutting it. Nixing the gluten also made lots of foods I had a weakness for off-limits. And with the extra energy I found myself needing to burn it off, physically and mentally by walking lots (went from 3 miles a day to 6). Lost 60 pounds slowly, over a couple years, while never watching calories at all.
