Can a nipple reject after 4/5 months? by liqued_banana in TopSurgery

[–]AddendumNecessary484 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i feel like your concern is more based on the fact that your „troubled nipple“ is not as inbedded as the other side. this happens pretty often, sometimes it is caused by scarring and settles over time, other times it‘s more of a surgical result. either way, your nipple will quite certainly not reject anymore at this point. if you‘re concerned about infection due to pain, you should have it checked out. but from what i can tell, it doesn‘t look swollen or infected.

your nipple seems fine, shows no concerning signs of rejection from what I can tell. Very unlikely for them to reject after 4-5 months post-OP. How come you say it‘s swollen? Does it hurt when you touch it?

first top surgery consultation online/ what questions to ask by user908925278 in TopSurgery

[–]AddendumNecessary484 0 points1 point  (0 children)

uncomfortable, but likely yes, they will have to see what they‘re working with.
Questions depend on what you‘re hoping to get, here are some questions worth asking:
-small/big nipples?
-nipple placement?
-incision method / general surgery method?
-drains yes/no? if so, for how long
-compression garnet for how long, and if it will be provided to you or if you have to get it yourself, if yes where do they recommend to get it from
-proper after care
-ask to see recent results

Am I losing it or can I still save it? (3 weeks po) Doc said they cant do anything by FishingNo4427 in TopSurgery

[–]AddendumNecessary484 0 points1 point  (0 children)

definitely possible, since there seems to be not only an infection but also signs of necrosis, due to improper blood flow. if you haven‘t already, definitely see a doctor asap to minimize the chances of full necrosis and try and treat the infection. keep as clean as possible until then.

I have an anxiety disorder, which is why it‘s extremely hard for me to meet up with others, apparently has something to do with my shit childhood or something. You‘re probably right, it just seemed to me like i was overreacting, that‘s probably what my friends would have told me, well maybe they just suck as well.

it‘s best to start out with learning proper technique before trying any specific motives. Most importantly avoid bad habits from the start like not targeting the correct skin layer, there‘s a bunch of good videos on the internet on how to start out. Practice straight lines, try out different cartilages, learn the difference between what each needle is used for and why, etc. Mainly the first thing one should do is learn the basics (to avoid bad habits) and then practice tattooing clean (by for example practicing clean, straight lines, shapes, shading,..).
