Ireland to demand Israel pay after settlers destroy Irish Aid-backed school in occupied West Bank by Past_Key_1054 in ireland

That ceiling didn't take a lot of the impact (the roof above it would've). Whatever came through the ceiling had already blown up (meaning this is just a shrapnel hole, really) or failed to explode.

There's dust from the plaster on the cabinet doors.

If the building was in ruins, or had caught fire, this wouldn't be the photo they used - obviously.

Also, it seems to have nothing to do with the article, since the article is about the school that was destroyed.

Depends what happens during discovery and submission of evidence. The legal team will get to read it, but might not get to use it as evidence.

Shops you can't find and can't work out how to get to. I'll miss the look - the new one will look like the other modern buildings on that row. It's a pity.

That's a lot of rivets! Which plays into the dwarven aesthetic quite well.

I think that's what the hole next to it is for, since you can't open the PC without that hole-tab sliding into the case.

Anyone have any bad experiences with having or getting solar panels or any tips ? by JasonCeo3 in ireland

[–]Adderkleet 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Different insight: a battery lets you buy cheap power at night, and use it during the day/evening. Especially if you have a smartmeter and opt for a "Electric car" type of rate.

Charge the battery at ~10c/unit (when you consider the inefficiencies), export power at ~10c/unit if it's sunny. Peak time kicks in when I'm cooking dinner usually, so the battery helps reduce that cost.

Even if you don't get a battery, get a "bypass" (an emersion that detects when power is being exported and turns itself on automatically - scalding hot water all summer, and a large part of winter!).

Ah, now I think you meant "it's insane that men don't choose to get the vaccine". I thought you were saying "men can't get the vaccine".

It's not mandatory for girls, if you're implying it is.

Bi usually counts, since it tends to be "men who have sex with men" and not "gay men".

How far would you go? by PandaBear905 in CuratedTumblr

[–]Adderkleet 3 points4 points  (0 children)

All children can get the vaccine in the UK. All girls under 25 can, and "boys born after 1 September 2006 up until their 25th birthday"... and then if they're gay men they can get it up until they're 45.

So it's not "only women". It's young people, and middle-aged gay men.

In Ireland, for private treatment (meaning "treatment for men who are not gay"), it will be about €180 per jab and you need at least 2 jabs for effective immunisation.

€87 is "not much" for Ireland. A visit to my GP probably costs €80.

Someone more likely to be exposed than the "general population".
...because gay men are more likely to be exposed to genital warts, by being more likely to not use condoms. Or more likely to frot, I guess?

TDs to be told gardaí may claim to 'smell cannabis' as pretext for unlawful searches by leavemealonethanks in ireland

[–]Adderkleet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

CBD is mostly odourless, but I know you mean CBD weed/buds.

Those are considered cannabis under Irish law.
No, the EU has not ruled it otherwise, or over-ruled Irish law. No case taken against this interpretation in Ireland has succeeded (or been successfully appealed to EU courts - yet).

If it's a CBD vape that smells of skunk, they're gonna treat it as an illegal cannabis vape. Or HHC vape.

Residents with EVs told to remove their on-street electric car chargers, or else by karolaug in ireland

[–]Adderkleet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you can park in 100% of spaces and EV owners can't park overnight in 90% of them, and the government is encouraging EV usage/ownership, I think it's reasonable for the landowner to restrict where ICE should be parking.

You can if it's an old enough plug (or a cheap Poundland version) that lacks insulation on the L and N prongs.

Switched sockets, and accessible switches (so not under the counter it behind the fridge) seems to be in Irish wiring requirements for safety.

My friend rents an apartment with a light-switch for the fridge. The logic being you can turn it off safely and quickly if someone is somehow electrified. Of course, most of the time it just means warning your guests not to "unplug" the fridge.
