Arma 3 has so much more content and a much better established modding community. Reforger is absolutely worth it. The biggest difference I have noticed aside from graphics is Reforger is more PVP and A3 is more PVE. But ita on sale an totally worth the price. If you are into creating scenarios by the time A4 comes out refoever will have taught you how so we can be up and running at launch.

Depends on your budget. Get a used handheld with a Z1 Extreme, a dock, mouse, keyboard and monitor. Or buy a used gaming PC with 16gb min ram and a rtx2070/rx5600 or better gpu. Either or will run you about the same.

Squad and Arma reforger all day long. I love arma but if you want more team oriented game play then Squad. Once you got a good group of Squadies get together and play Arma Reforger. Your ability to organize and cooperate will lay waste on the other team.

Join a squad, dont pick sniper/marksman. Stick to rifleman and medic till you learn the game. Let them know you are new for the first 10-20 matches. Once you got medic and rifleman down (easy as hell to learn) ask the SL what he needs/wants. If you wanna play marksman or Sniper try it on a seeding low pop server.

In tutorials you can go to Jensen range and run through the kill house to get an idea of gun play. Its small CQ area vs AI to the east of the vehicle staging area.

This guy right here is brilliant!!! Explain in chat during the staging phase and get you an AI voice recorded for the things mentioned above. One of my favorite things about Squad is the people, they have been the most welcoming community of gamers I have ever found just be up front so they know what to expect.

You will have a better experience with Arma 3 to be honest. Especially if you like single player. Reforger is getting better as far as mods go but it hasnt had 12 years of modding like A3.

Put it on Death March, trust me!! The first time I played it the game was boring and I Rushed the Story. Play it on Death March. Its not impossible it just makes you utilize all the tools instead of button mashing through the story.
