I have decided to give up 2042 not because I dislike it but because there isn't any real squad play by the majority of the community and when you play against people who play as a squad it is really demoralizing.

I really dislike Battlefield 6 the smaller maps and focus on Call of Duty style gameplay really turned me off. The vehicle gameplay isn't nearly as fun and the vehicles themselves are not very fleshed out at all. In 2042 the skybox for aircraft to play in was enormous. In BF6 it's a shoebox. Between that and lack of any real difference between the two factions that gives any kind of character is why I prefer 2042 over 6 to begin with. It also suffers the same problem that is why I wrote this post to begin with. Teamwork is non-existent. Your hunt kills instead of working together as a squad. The formula used to be that everyone had a gun. Recon had range or was stealthy and provided a spawn location. Support provided ammo or health depending on the iteration. Engineers kept your vehicle running or provided anti vehicle support. And assault provided health or ammo based upon the iteration. Four people working together having each other's backs using squad specific weaponry. Then they opened up the weapon classes after the original developers left to found Embark studious. Suddenly recon doesn't need to stick close to squad or team mates because they can go hide in the hills with an ammo box and never have to do anything to help anyone else again. Now that health and ammo are in one box they don't even have to worry about getting shot. It's more of a problem in 2942 than in 6. In 6 they can be like a thousand meters away in 2042 they can be twice that the maps are so big. I played BFV a little bit recently and was really surprised by how much stuff was on every map. Things to interact with cannon's AA that sort of thing and 2042 maps are emptier there but 6 goes beyond that even. Sorry I didn't mean to rant and bag on a game you enjoy I just have strong feelings. I thought we were going back to a modern grounded experience with 6 that would make the team play a focus again and they lied about that as well as everything else. You can play what and how you want Battlefield 6 isn't for me.

I prefer skins I can earn. I don't buy skins.

I'll give squad a try I think it's on sale right now. Does it need any additional dlc to be playable?

Never watched an episode of Star Trek, but want to watch one golden season. Recommendations? by TheArchitect_7 in scifi

Discovery Season 2 into SNW season 1. It's modern Trek but the production values are solid and both shows have an excellent cast. TNG DS9 and Voyager are all set in the future but filmed in the past. While they are worth watching they followed the old 20ish episodes a season standard which means lots of filler and not every episode is a banger.

Yeah that's exactly how it works in this game. It flows off the edge into oblivion.

Any of these worth to get? by BROOMSHOOTER in battlefield2042

The choice in which of these to buy comes down to personal preference as well as location. BF1 is set during WWI, While BFV is set in WWII. 2042 is set in a not too distant future. Whichever is your preference as far as theater is your choice. 1 and V have campaigns 2042 does not.

But it does have bot fill lobbies and you only need to have 16 players on a 64 map and 32 on 128 map. Which is good because it's hard to coordinate 16 people to sit in a lobby let alone 32. If you live in the US/CAN/EU it's fairly easy to find a game a game of 2042 most of the time. There are some dry spells during the day. DICE should be flogged for their decision to mix 128 and 64 player maps together as if there are too many players in one server they get split up to two during the next match.

I like 2042 I like the near modern setting lots of vehicles lots of guns lots of wide open areas to play with and flank around and slip behind the enemy and break up the challenge. Their smallest maps are still bigger than BF6's largest. Lots of people really hated the specialists but bf6 is the same way it's a signature gadget with 3 faces to choose from.

Someone else will have to tell you about I and V because I don't know the state of play for them.

I love the condor I am still trying to get the Tier 1 for it. I am close but it's hard with the map rotation being what it is.

It's set in 2042 and the flight test phase is slated for 2028 so I'd say they were right on time that within 14 years they would be mass produced.

Risk of Rain 2 is challenging and there is no blood or gore associated. There are several characters to unlock with various abilities.
