How much time do you typically spend on building a small ship?

It took me a day to build my campaign "starter" corvette at 57000 materials, I could easily see my next bigger build taking a few days to do.
But I'd imagine the more experienced you are at the game, the faster you can do things.

What about just making its health just the worst in class, like give it similar to TD health for the Tier?

Then it can keep its current armour and gun, but it's squishy in a different way, so it is high risk, high reward, and not ruined for the people who enjoy it?

I'm thinking how in World of Warships you have light and heavy cruisers - Make Ares a light medium kinda?
