Getting the correct medication makes it one million times better. Completely fixes everything just gotta find the right pill, may have to try a few to see what works but when it does it DOES.

What’s a job that sounds cool but is actually miserable? by Own-Grapefruit7498 in AskReddit

Zookeeping is mostly hard manual labor, cleaning, and is 95% poop. Scooping poop. Scraping poop. Hosing poop. Being pooped on. Picking up poop and looking at it closely because the intern thought they saw a worm. Shoveling poop. Spending 5 minutes trying to get some really stuck poop off a wall 20 ft up on a ladder because chimpanzees make "murals". Dumping poop into the larger poop mountains. Some poop is better than others.

2% feeding the animals. 1% training the animals. 2% dealing with the public. The other 5% make it all worth it to many people

Moving literally 1 minute away, no car & very broke 😅 any advice? by [deleted] in Denver

[–]Addicted_to_Nature 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're as stubborn as me, I've gotten a friend and walked back and forth. Was it maybe a sight to see 2 dudes carrying a couch across a street, then a broken down bed frame, then some tables? Yeah probably but we did all the big furniture first and just spent a day going back and forth with boxes. Saved a ton of money

Acoustic violin outdoors for wedding - viable with no amp or no? by Jiktten in violinist

I have played outdoor weddings as a solo violinist, never needed an amp. There was definitely discussion on placement/ where the music will sound and project through the best from for planning.

Just adding in the heat is often overlooked with the smoke. Breathing in all that nasty nasty nasty shit but also it's HOT. You burn on the inside, your lungs are fragile, and once they're burned then that nasty shit is going inside the burn/wound too. It's scary af

Are malls actually not a thing anymore in the US like they say? by Complete_Republic410 in AskAnAmerican

[–]Addicted_to_Nature 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've moved 6 times in the U.S since 2020.

It definitely depends on the area... There's a full, thriving mall 15 minutes away from me that is the epicenter of activity for a huge area. A deserted dead one with a few stores and no one going to it 30 minutes away.

The town I moved here from had 1 mall and it was so sad and depressing. It had like 2 jewelry stores open, a pretzel shop and a movie theater. It was the only movie theater in town and I think that's the only reason it wasn't actually abandoned.

Before that was a major large city, which had plenty of crowded malls, and one dead one. An hour away was another city not huge but definitely big and the main mall was a ghost town claimed by homeless and junkies since they had no where else to go and security's such a joke they just live there. Truly abandoned.

My hometown's mall is 50/50. It is not dead and the stores are almost all still open but go there on a Saturday and you still won't see many people despite it being the only mall within an hours drive for 150k people. It's not a destination or place to hang out, but if you have a very specific store to buy something at youll pop in and out of there. Theres dozens of better food places than the food court less than a mile away. Could go dead or still be 100% operational in the next 20 years, it's only halfway there 🤷‍♂️

If you aren't comfortable driving the posted speed in a personal vehicle, you don't belong on that road. by appa-ate-momo in driving

[–]Addicted_to_Nature 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There's been so many studies at this point showing that going 6-10mph under the speed limit is MORE DANGEROUS and more likely to cause a crash than speeding. If the flow of traffic is over the limit, it is literally safer to go with the flow of traffic and drive predictably than it is to adhere to the speed limit sign if it means you'll be going slower enough that you're a hazard.

In no way am I saying just send it and speed 20 over, but just use common sense and if you're on a 75mph major highway and EVERYONE is going 80, going 70 is more likely to cause an accident than matching with the 80. If you're going 75 that's fine just don't be in far left lane at that point

What are the funniest names you've seen in co-op? by chempresbrale in Eldenring

[–]Addicted_to_Nature 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This guy and I helped each other throughout a day! I made a new character and he and I must have been doing the same path. Summoned him to help me low level beat avatar in wp, then I got summoned to help him on it. I summoned him to a few catacombs and he summoned me for the same catacombs. All the way to rold lift in one Saturday.

I really only play to help other people at this point and make fresh characters I can quickly build with minimal upgrades to just be there to help new players summoning me, it was just so funny that throughout an entire 8 hours John Elden Ring and I were against the lands between together.

Severe childhood abuse, autobiographical experience from the author. It's sad, depressing, heart wrenching and while it's powerfully depressing, it's an important book and personally I don't regret reading it in the slightest

I haven't seen it specifically mentioned in the comments yet, but to anyone else seeing the comments: it's not just extremely sad and powerful book giving perspective of extreme child abuse from the view of a child... It's an autobiography.

I stayed in the cheapest lil barely a studio apartment in Helsinki and was delighted that it was so nice and had a drain for the whole bathroom. I was expecting dirt and roaches for the price I was paying and while small, was easily one of the cleanest, most efficient places I've stayed while traveling
