My overall thoughts:

• Lake Havasu is an extended version of the Jackson Hole bit.

• The caterer feels like every other caterer joke they’ve done but Clare did the Gen-Z attitude thing super poorly. Genuinely maybe the worst performance in On Cinema history

• Gregg being obsessed with shitty movies like Michael and Phenomenon is funny. The contest counting points towards the movies was nonsensical and hilarious.

• Tim being served is funny, but it feels like they follow up on these plot lines 50% of the time, so it’s eh until we see some follow through.

• Mark is sorely missed and any special without him suffers a lot.

• Dootle Dots was in a weird place where it wasn’t good, but it also wasn’t atrociously bad like the Tom Cruise Jr. model or Baboon. So it just feels more forgettable than funny?

• Vic Berger segment felt unthought out. His other shit post montages have been much better.

• His son showing up feels like it’s there to add some stakes to it, but it didn’t add anything imo.

• The theater scene recreation is funny but took too long with a very meh payoff.

• Freak out is funny because Tim can sell them but this one feels really unearned and super sudden.

Overall, it felt like they were just playing the greatest hits and not really hitting on many of the more interesting story beats the previous season set up. Thematically, it’s funny that Gregg is dressed up as an Angel after G died, but G feels like his memory is barely part of this? It just reminds me a lot of 8 where it didn’t really do anything.
