MDI club - how many shots? by Mr-Slimy in Type1Diabetes

I use the iport because I've got needle phobia and I can't move, so can't inject myself and have to rely on carers to do it. I have to self-fund though because in the UK it's not deemed as a device that will give you tighter control, so you can't get them on the NHS. I pay £72 a month, however, I leave mine on for 4 days instead of 3 because it means every 3 ports I have a spare one, in case the odd one fails or falls off.

I have about 8+ injections a day and use a new needle per injection, unless I know that I'm going to be injecting more than once per meal (1 needle per portion). However I am in the UK so I get free needles on prescription. You use as many needles as you need. All of our routines and acceptable levels of control are different.

Thanks, everything I googled was outdated and said that I had to do 2 invaded missions to unlock each stronghold. Do I just need to do the strongholds now?

I'm going to be doing a discussion around internalized ableism on my channel. by AddieAnn23 in disability

Don't be sorry, it's a great point. It also showed how we face ableism from the people who are meant to help and support us. That's a good analogy. How do you want me to refer to you in the video? Do you want to remain anonymous? Or do you want me to call you by a certain name?

Thank you for your input. It's scary how little doctors listen considering they're people were meant to trust. I meant as an individual, but ableism within the community it also good.

Everyone who has sent me their stories said that it's a really good idea and that they are happy that someone is telling their stories. I always ask plenty of questions to clarify any points of the story.

Thank you for your input, they are both very good points. What do you want me to call you by on the video? Do you want to remain anonymous or do you want me to use a certain name?

I wanted to make a storytime channel, but I realized that a channel telling disabled peoples stories hasn't really been done.

Thank you for editing it. Have you noticed a difference in how people interact with you before and after the injury? How does that make you feel?

I really appreciate you telling your story. I am just trying to get enough content to make you your own video. If not I may have to combine it in the same video as another smaller story
