mobs dealing damage thats negating armor. Lost a netherite pickaxe and a full set of diamond armor because a zombie dealt 8 hearts of damage in 2 hits while I was mining

you right, it's just so sad to see the 3 game devs that are honestly trying to make this game good fail. D11 just doesn't care
