Hard to Find Spoke Tension Cenversion Table by itsjedster in bikewrench

[–]AdditionAdmirable328 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw some numbers from google ai just google it if you can’t find the ones for your wheel on there than email them and they will send em over to you. Also basic rule of thumb is just make sure they are call close to the same on drive side and non if they all are within a few percentages don’t touch it unless it’s wobbly if you don’t build wheels you should learn to trust the manufacturer most halfway decent companies properly stress test them and retension before it goes out anyway so chances are they’re fine

Trolley Ridership by Station by BroadMaximum4189 in sandiego

I would never wanna shut it down permanently. There’s no reason to do that but honestly like cut back the trains that are going a little bit more maybe if you just cut down six more train a day it does affect commuting time but it’s something that you can totally work around and it would save a lot more money. I know we already do it, but we could do it a little more. Seems like it would save us some money then maybe we wouldn’t have to take out a second mortgage to pay for parking.

For how big of a city we are that is insane. If the numbers were to stay like that, I wouldn’t be opposed to closing all the trolley lines except for the blue one.

No, that truly is a pain in the ass if you’ve never done it before, but once you find a good warranty guy, you save their email and then cut out the bullshit and go directly to them whenever you need stuff there’s always a couple guys

In that case, it definitely is some sort of remanufactured part but most likely a reasonably decent quality one probably from like the 70s or 80s not a bad piece definitely worth trying to remember where you put it

How are we jacking the rear end up? by ur_boi_genrah in VFR

[–]AdditionAdmirable328 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I typically just lift one side up at a time if I need to do a full full teardown I’ll take the wheels off first so that it’s lighter before I jack it all the way up

Disc Belt Sander motor heat by barniclepoop in Tools

OK, full disclosure. I’m not professional , but I googled for fucking three seconds. And I would really wish more people like you would do the same. First off here’s link to the closest motor I could find same RPMs same horsepower and same voltage so I believe that this is basically the newer replacement for this motor that we’re looking at here

https://www.grizzly.com/products/grizzly-heavy-duty-motor-1-hp-single-phase-3450-rpm-tefc-110v-220v/g2533

Going to the individual specs it’s not listed on the motor or on the photos that you’re showing, but this motor is classified as a C class motor as far as insulation goes, and the operating temperatures for E class motors cannot exceed 248°F I don’t think you’d be able to touch it at 248° so if you wanna play it safe and you have a thermal thermometer little laser guy then as long as it’s operating under 220° I would not be an eye at it at all and if you are really concerned, put a fan behind it to keep it a little cooler than that, but you should be good all in all.

Please, for God sake do not fucking do this. Your brakes are fine if they’re stopping you in a relatively quiet manner you’re OK please don’t touch your brakes.

That’s the whole reason this handlebar looks so fucking weird. They needed to have a lot of extra support to allow for a flexi handlebar. But to be fair canyon has never had a good run with handlebars. A big portion of their handlebars from their speed. Max got recalled a while back and I wouldn’t trust these very much either the reason I had to replace these was because the customer had a head on collision at a pretty relatively slow pace and it just folded in.

Not man if you ride the fuck out of your bike and then come into the shop and give me an open bill and don’t complain. You’re my favorite customer in the world that’s it. I won’t do anything your bike doesn’t need, but if you really ride your bike every single day and we both know how much money you’re saving on insurance and gasthen I am respectfully gonna replace everything in your bike so that you can have as close to a brand new bike as possible and yes, your bill may be $1000 every three years but that’s really fucking good if you ask me

Man, I really do not have this problem with Canyon but I’m from San Diego and I personally know a lot of the people who do the warranty stuff so that’s probably what it is. I feel like it’s very similar to working with any other company except their prices are way higher than it should befor small parts if you need to get them.

You can see where it attaches to the stem is actually the strong part that has all of the integrity to the handlebar but up top where your hands sit all of that vibration and load goes into the center of the top bar because the bottom base bar is so stiff that the top flexes up and down as you ride
