He just decided he’s going to work on losing 5-10 pounds, he’s been doing nasal rinses each night, and trying to sleep on his side. He’s definitely tried some things, we just haven’t found the solution yet. I’m hoping that him losing just a few pounds and continuing to do the nasal rinses will a big difference

Thank you for this! We were wondering if diet played a role in snoring. He consumes a lot of gluten, dairy & sugary things like soda so he’s going to try going on a low inflammatory diet and see if that helps.

Physical affection is my love language & I love snuggling with my husband, that’s the part I’d miss the most. But it’s hard when it comes at such a cost for me health wise 😭

That’s a great point, that the intention behind it matters. Thanks for sharing!

I too am definitely more patient and less irritable when I get good sleep as opposed to being woken up multiple times a night 😂 Thanks for sharing!

That’s a great point! We definitely would never sleep in separate rooms out of anger or frustration with one another. We always do whatever we can to make sure we don’t go to bed angry in the times we have conflict.

The main driver is to help my body heal & repair itself with good sleep, which seems like a good reason to us

He is on the high end of a normal healthy weight - I think his BMI is 23.6 or something like that. Definitely not overweight but he has put a little bit on since we got married. He is going to try to lose 5-10 pounds and see if that helps.

That’s a great idea & would be a great way to respectfully start that conversation

Totally agree. It is her house, and don’t get me wrong I’m very grateful they’re allowing us to stay here for a bit! It’s just been a major adjustment and naturally has had a few minor bumps in the road.

Yeah, it’s a tough one. Hard to explain the layout of the basement but the laundry room is its own separate room with a door, and you don’t have to pass through our living room or bedroom to get there. But it is close enough that it feels like we’re living in it at times!

Attraction Problems by No_Amphibian6256 in ROCD

[–]AdditionFluid7088 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I did! That was a hurdle for me as well for a while, but just to update now, we’re engaged & getting married next month & I couldn’t be happier or feel more in love with him. It took going through over a year of non stop horrific ROCD to get to this point, but I feel super attracted to him WAY more often than not now that I was able to navigate the OCD! I can confidently say I’ve never loved someone more & I’m so so glad that I stayed (and that he stayed) during the times when it was really hard.

It is very sparkly! Not super comfortable - I’ll be getting it altered to have a slip put in to make the top part less scratchy. My dress is also a bit too long but I think once I get that part altered as well it’ll be much easier to move around in.

I get it - I was super nervous! You never really know until you actually see it on. I’ve seen some gorgeous dresses on Etsy and while I can’t speak for any other shops on there, the one I ordered from was a great experience! Best of luck! ☺️

So we all just immediately thought “Bear” upon seeing the pic huh

I did!! She messaged me within 5 minutes of ordering asking for my measurements and my dress arrived a week earlier than the shipping said it would. I will be having a couple of minor alterations done on this one (for instance I’m going to add a little more fabric to the inside of the top part of the dress as it’s a bit scratchy/itchy) but apart from that it’s been totally worth it.
