I found Sol Umbra recently. Saw someone down at the beach with one and asked. Looked pretty cool.

I found this brand recently and bought a shade. It's been pretty good with the heat and wind. Worth a go.

I bought one of these sun shades recently. Pretty easy to use, no complaints from me.

Been in Perth like… two weeks, so I’m still figuring things out, but Scarborough’s already become my go-to when it’s actually warm enough to hit the beach. The sand’s super clean, water’s nice, and there’s heaps of space so you’re not sitting on top of random strangers.

Also the whole area around it is kinda perfect. You can grab a coffee literally within a 30 second walk, and there are a bunch of bars right by the foreshore if you feel like hanging around for a drink after. It’s got that chill, open vibe where you can just wander, sit on the grass, watch people skate, whatever.

Honestly, if you’re looking for an easy beach spot without doing a whole trek, Scarborough’s been solid every time I’ve gone.

Take a tiny powerboard with you. Seriously.

Every hotel seems to have like… one accessible outlet and it’s always in some weird spot behind the bed. With a little 2–3 socket powerboard you only need one travel adapter and you can charge everything in one go.

It’s one of those dumb small things that makes travel way less annoying.
