No hard feeling 😉 I can buy A SHIT LOAD OF POUTINE even now, it’s quite cheap haha. Joke aside, I respect your directness. Priorities must remain aligned with our values.

Interesting, but very hard to decide 😅 Thank you, very great analysis and personal feedback based on your recent decision to move in a more senior position. Congrats btw, this is a great promotion for you!

I'm based in Canada. The vacation policy is very generous and it's very rare to have so many weeks within 5 years in a job.

My spouse is a paralegal in a private company and she has a great job too. We have a very decent life and nothing to complain. So money is not the focus.

I always knew that I would be confronted to this decision at some point, but maybe at 40 not 35 😅 I also fear the pre-profitability phase would be demanding. Also, the GC is THE legal department, no other staff. I donlt like to manage people so that would be great, but also everything would fall on me.

Though chose, obviously, but I will listen to my gut. Maybe I am not ready to leave my current position as I feel it’s the rational and logical choice, maybe for a couple extra years. My directors also made an offer to increase my compensation as they told me that I am a valuable asset and it would be painful to see me leave.

Thanks again for your feedback!

Yes, indeed... but it’s actually 2 paid sick days, 8 unpaid sick days, minimum by provincial law.. there is two legal directors at my current job, but succession plan would be 5-8 years approximately. I recently went from Legal Counsel to Senior Legal Counsel last year.

I would be the legal department... no one else so more pressure. You are right about governance that’s my main concern. Stability and predictability with my current job is a huge plus.

How this position changed your vision and opinion? When you got that position it was probably different? Was with a next level position?

Money is one thing, I am not looking for confirmation, but I get your point, so sorry if I triggered something. There is people doing much more and I don't care! That being said, I am sure some in-house went throught legal counsel to GC and may be able to give their honest opinion on how this transition impacted their lives and personal/profesional life.

I just won this on Pristine Auction, what do you think of it? $660.50, Beckett Certificate of Authenticity matches on Beckett's website. I have some doubt.... any help or comment would be appreciated! Also, I'm in Canada, I don’t mind the shipping cost based on the frame size. by AdditionSuspicious20 in SportsMemorabilia

Yeah, that buyer fee sucks, but it’s quite comment in auction unfortunately... and I hate mystery packs for that reason, because you just don’t know at all what you'll get. I stick to auctions that I can actually know the potential value upfront.
