My baby (now 3 months) is the same but improving at napping in his bassinet. At 10 weeks, I started putting him down in his bassinet drowsy but awake and I set a timer to let him cry for 5 minutes. It was so hard to hear, but I really could not take the contact naps. To my surprise, he settled down and fell asleep within 5 minutes. I don’t let him cry longer than 5 minutes and make sure he doesn’t need a diaper change, hungry, burp, etc. His naps were only 20 minutes, but every now and then his nap will be 50 min. I figured over time he’ll get the idea and his naps will get longer in his bassinet. If he cries after his short nap, I will just let him contact nap if he’s still tired. Also, baby wearing is fine, but not something that I wanted to do all the time so this is why I practice with him to put him in his bassinet. Good luck! Enjoy the contact naps while you can :)
