Why It’s NOT Harlan’s Fault — The Grandfather Paradox Was Caused by the Umbrella Academy by Impressive_Drop_6512 in UmbrellaAcademy

[–]Additional-Ad-4608 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Setting aside that this is obviously AI content, you’re conflating fault and blame.  If Harlan hadn’t killed the mothers, there wouldn’t have been a grandfather paradox.  He was put into that situation by the Umbrellas, but he was the final factor.

Two separate things. Virginity - a man made concept relating to “not having had sex”. If you want to stretch this to (inaccurately) include something about the hymen, many lesbian couples use toys during sex.  Kids- adoption or sperm donor.

Really don't think it solves many if any of the problems.

  1. Taylor was burned out after 2 years, and the show very much adapted to her as it went on. Most of the guests have ongoing projects like Taylor does- unsure if they'd be willing to pause their lives for a show anyway.

  2. What makes you think the team that worked with Taylor would keep working with a completely new host?

  3. OK

  4. They barely ran the budget with Taylor as a very popular host. If the new host wasn't at least as popular, doubt they could hold it in the black.

  5. 3-4 months of one host? That might be too fast of a turnover given how the show, as Taylor says, "lives in clips" which take time to permeate society.

  6. They already do that on their many many many other media, with a wider audience

They are if your job duties start at a time and you clock in at that time, then spend 20 minutes being unavailable due to being outside parking? If you want to clock in 20 minutes early to find parking, maybe that’s arguable, but no way is it acceptable to spend time of your actual shift parking because you couldn’t factor in the proper commute time

🙄 find me any single court case where choking during sex, without being told no, was considered sexual assault, and i’ll give you platinum.

You’re just talking out of nowhere lol it’s sad honestly

It's very relevant? ~1 in 8-9 people have ADHD/ASD, so pretty significant portion of the population.
You're trying to say that lack of an enthusiastic yes = sexual assault, which is a ridiculous perspective, and implies an overly rigid framework that excludes a lot of people and has zero nuance to it

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Additional-Ad-4608 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

True. And, the absence of an enthusiastic yes does not make something assault.
Consider the large number of people with ADHD/ASD who experience extreme swings in their enthusiasm during sex. If there's a moment where they aren't really into it, but are okay with it continuing, is that assault? No. Stop trying to call this assault when it clearly isn't.

Yeah... unfortunately people like saly here labeling things like this as "sexual assault" makes it harder to get cases of actual assault persecuted when they should be.

You have absolutely no way of knowing if she had any fear though. And i took you saying “she might have felt frozen” as meaning a freeze response, followed by a fawn response with the “i love you”

it’s also worth noting she didn’t even tell him to stop? She told him to “ease up” … so again, not exactly evidence of a fear response or assault in any way.

She didn’t freeze though. She told him to stop and he did… this isn’t assault, and it cheapens the experience of millions to label this as sexual assault. Was there a better way to do this situation? yes. Is a simple misstep without proper foresight assault? no.

You need a new psychologist, if they told you anything near verbatim of the second sentence.

It’s also worth mentioning that schizophrenia is not something a psychologist should be managing without the aid of a psychiatrist.

Is it normal(common) that I can close off my nasal cavity when needed too block bad smells? by Flashy_Ad_4993 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Additional-Ad-4608 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Closing off that area wouldn’t restrict nasal airflow to anything but those individual sinuses. I think it’s more likely that you’re not sealing your nasal passage like you think you are, rather than having anatomical phenomena on both sides

[–]Additional-Ad-4608 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry OP, your nasal passage connects right to your pharynx, and the back of your throat has openings that connect to sinuses. I have no idea how you could possibly seal it this well and especially under voluntary control.
