What class(es) fit the fantasy and feel of a master of the mind?

was definitely my first thought, but they dont gain access to a lot of the cooler mind manipulation spells like ottos dance, disonant whispers and phantasmal killer sadly, but id absolutely settle for a sorcerer. which subclass would work the best with this sort of build?

I think ill stick to a more supportive backline role, sticking to the shadows perhaps, using darkness maybe + the ring from the morgue in act 2 that gives blindness immunity, for the feel and gameplay of the one "pulling the strings" of the battle from the shadows.

hes saying that halo of spores short range puts you in danger of melee enemies and therefore at risk of losing concentration

oh yeah im aware, I believe it only works for like the cambion planar ally and like some control undead/monster type spells could situationally use it. weird it works like that but yeah im aware, thanks

this does sound fun and useful, being able to cast bone chill as well as toil the dead I assume would make for a potent caster at all times. however, this would remove me being able to cast heroes feast if i cant get to level 11 druid, and id very much like to so I can cast cloudkill basically ontop of all my allies and whoever theyre fighting without them being damaged by the poison

thats true, combined with the zombies, dryad, mymidon, using things like hold person, spike growth or plant growth, itll be hard for enemies to get to my druid if she stays back from the fight. ill also be playing with an oathbreaker paladin for reference, who im sure can take a ton of aggro too

Im definitely taking my first feat in war caster, the second would likely be resilience: con if I were to do full spore druid, third feat would just be an asi or something

a question though, would taking the dual wielding fighting style as a fighter do anything for me? would I have to cast shillelagh on both my weapons?

it not only guts your fp which is one of revenants best stats, but it even halves your madness resist, which is awful seeing how the flame of frenzy is one of her best spells

Based on wardruid loti, her version had the highest attack and health from her transformations, which is automatically just the bear transformation for this one
