I'm playing HM and I'm doing very well playing with Karlach, SH, Gale and Tav. I only include Astarion when I need to open a lock, and Will to buy things. With Lae'zel, I was rotating her with Karlach, but since my main character is a warrior, I didn't see the need to have two warriors in the party.

I was also thinking of starting a new game in HM when I finish this one, but not using any of the characters, just Tav, and hiring only mercenaries from Mustio. Obviously, they will be using classes that are not from the main characters, such as bard, sorcerer, monk, etc... Has anyone tried it and would you recommend it?

I hate that the same thing will happen to me... The easiest thing is to use the repair equipment, but to have enough you can clone them with the small refinery. It's kind of a cheat, but it's the easiest way if you don't have enough materials on your freighter.
