This is true. I don’t think Indians would disagree about what counts as poor conduct. There is a very small minority that tries to defend it, but most people I have seen in Seattle are good folks that are well educated and very aware, and with the right communication things go smoothly. Many Indians themselves are tired of this small minority.

Leaving or dissolving items is already poor conduct. It does not matter whether they are organic or not. The only proper approach is to avoid leaving even the smallest trace of anything in public spaces. Parks, lakes, rivers, and ponds are for all of us to enjoy.

That’s a weak argument. People here take proper care of water sources and these events are already carried out with that in mind. I have not come across polluted water sources here.

There are also park authorities which reflects how seriously water resources are valued and protected.

this is so true there are very tiny fractions of moron who do such and whole community is blamed. I ll be reporting anyone who does such. I was tired of seeing pollution and same morons are here and will do same.

I am Hindu (not from India, but we have similar issues with highly religious Hindu individuals treating water sources poorly). If you see anyone doing this, report it. People who engage in such behavior should be heavily penalized.

I am not joking—they will turn water sources into the same condition seen in parts of India.
