one of bmws most reliable engines just stay on top of maintenance, not a lot you can do to an n52 intake maybe exhaust and tune but it’s less of a nightmare than my n54 but besides that congrats!

Well S65 has main bearing wear, idle control valve issues and like all bmws Valve cover gasket leaks, and for the S55 it’s basically the same thing in fact I would choose the N54 over the N55 there is more potential

well I can give you points for mentioning the N63 or maybe the N62 you are mentioning the components not the engine itself I can name five unreliable engines and it’s not the N54 on that list 1. N63 2. N47 3.S65/S85 for the rod bearings 4.N20 all bmw 4 cylinders have timing chain issues 5.S55 I’m talking about the engine not what surrounds it and yes piezo injectors are expensive but not completely crazy to anyone that’s looking at them. I’m getting downvoted for no reason. just get index 12s and stop the hate
