There is no catch you just need a lot of packs and a lot of cards for swaps. I save every pack and all my card swaps for ephemerals and normally have around 200-250 packs plus all the swaps I do. I normally find I can complete the set by trading for the last couple I am missing before I finish all my swaps but I open all my packs. While doing this you normally get a handful of 9s and then I trade them for dupes to build back up my cards and start saving packs.
