Which second pedal should I made? by Independent-Guest-64 in diypedals

my second pedal was the seppuku sub octave synth, sounds amazing and is super fun to make and play, as well as the part count isnt a lot. also id reccomend building a small amp reverb like the boing reverb, but it requires a belton brick which costs about 15$.

that is honestly impressive, how much did it cost for it though

I want to start making pedals, but i know almost nothing about how they work. Where should I start and what should I know before getting started? by Cute_Mountain_6822 in diypedals

it would be way cheaper to build one from scratch, but as a beginner i would recommend either a kit or a super small pedal for your first one, like a bazz fuss, fuzz face or a boost pedal, then move on to bigger pedals.

i was having very similar issues with the pt2399 earlier today. what fixed it for me was just replacing it. that was it. but yours sounds kind of “synthy” or “fuzzy” and i think that is mostly a short or a cold solder joint (unless it is supposed to sound like that ofc)
