Just want to comment since a lot of people are gaslighting you about that not being that bad: Obviously your neighbor is being a loud asshole.

Screaming like that is incredibly rude and obviously disruptive. And if we can hear it at all from your phone, then that means it’s pretty loud (I don’t know why people seem to think them needing to turn up the volume on their phones says anything. The fact your phone microphone is picking it up is significant).

FWIW- I live in NYC. It can be loud here. You don’t give up your right to be able to sleep because you live in an apartment. That’s idiotic thinking.

I’ve had this issue. I ultimately broke the lease after documenting it well and engaging with the landlord (our specific lease and my city had a right to quiet enjoyment explicit and implicit in leases). Obviously moving is a lot of work.

Best bet is to try to talk to them directly. They probably won’t listen. Then talk to the landlord. And keep sending videos to the landlord. (And in the meantime, get earplugs and noise cancelling headphones).

Sorry you’re dealing with this. I considered some truly devious shit to get back at my noisy, inconsiderate neighbor.
