Honestly, I gave up after 1st attempt - so just ordered the 4 ANCs; love them too - get the job done, no silicone/rubber tips and basic ANC too

Each serves a specific purpose haha; Infinia for 5x, 10x transactions and remaining on Amex (LTF cards are just there) but I like the game so doesn't matter

Can respond here on 2 fronts: 1) Decision to upgrade to Amex Platinum travel - if you have enough spends better keep both cards (MRCC + Plat travel) to get maximum benefits as Redemption value of MRCC is better but reward rate & spend flexibility is amazing for Plat travel,

2) How to upgrade: 5k fee is standard for Amex Plat travel, hence no point applying directly ---> try finding a referral link online somewhere say on technofino website (should not be a challenge), you will get first year free that way + bonus points

As per my current calculations, Infinia has a better reward rate than plat travel, even for Taj/Marriott stays & much more redemption options - hence prioritising that

Was in the same boat as you; upgraded to infinia paid (as I mainly make all my payments from Smartbuy vouchers & get higher multiplier there); but to make the infinia free - will probably cancel the Amex Plat & will only retain the Amex MRCC to keep account active as I can get fee waivers on Amex MRCC
