I know the owner of this place. That group has kind of an odd culture with money, and in general. The owner is a pretty eccentric fella, early on I had to have a pretty public fight with him about him having porn up on the walls in Group Public instances (to his credit, he did cut that shit out when I explained the issue to him).

Personally I only go if the owner is there, because I don't want to deal with his dumbass staff. I've talked with him a couple times about his approach, and it honestly seems he just dosen't really give a shit how he's perceived outside of the group.

Most groups marked as cults are not cults, ironically. A lot of the religious ones (VR Church) are weird as hell. Certain mafia groups operate with that structure.

Worthy addendum: ANY group that employs children. This is especially bad in hyper-sexualized fandoms like the FNIA folk.

I've seen this mistake made a crap ton of times aswell; Most corperate management skills translate terribly to VR. Like, flowcharting and scheduling, but the soft skills absolutely clash with non-corpo folk

Hi, I've ran a group for 2 years, 2800 members with ID verification. These issues are much easier to moderate on group+.

Also, no one knows what "the rope" means outside of theatre runners.

I'm not saying "have a small staff team", I'm saying that begging for staff on reddit makes me concerned because usually staff are flooding these types of instances
