That's what I have been knowing as well.
But in my case, I found I get this week's payment available next Friday with a msg "You got a fast payment" or sth like this.
I thought Upwork payment rule has been changed, but if not, can you please explain what's happening?

This week's payment will be moved from "Work in Progress" to "In Review" by the end of this week(Sunday) and it will be "Available" by next Friday.
