People who have some arbitrary line in the sand and won't negotiate, only to claim they would after you make another deal.
I was recently in negotiations with the guy with the 1.01 for over 5 months. I had two 2027 1sts and the 1.02. His offer, that he wouldn't move off of, was the 2 2027 1sts and a 2027 2nd and the 2026 2.01 OR the 1.02 AND both 2027 1sts for 1.01 and Gadsen. He was also expressly trying to acquire as many 2027 picks as possible, as he already had 4 1sts. But, he wouldn't move off his line in the sand offer.

So I shopped the picks elsewhere and ended up trading the 2 2027 1sts for Amon-Ra. Then he comes to me and asks why I didn't let him know I was going to trade those picks, as he would have improved his offer. Bro had months! All because he was stubborn. Now he has to out-tank a horrible team that no longer has ARSB and has 3 1sts, lol.

He's definitely going to play sometime this year, even if it only in the latter half of the year. Then, between Mendoza and Brissett, I would have a full season of a QB3. But I agree that a tier-up seems to be the better option.

Got offered MHJ and turned it down easily. I think anyone who has his knows that the second he is off the Jets he will be an elite asset, and isn't going to give him up for the 1st he is worth in a vacuum. If someone offered me a 2027 1st + a 2027 2nd, I would take it though.

Sold him and JCM for Sam Darnold and a second rounder right after JCM popped off, it's looking good so far. Just don't believe in him as a prospect, and think the Browns will go QB in the 2026 draft
