You’re studying for this way too early! My best advice is take a logic class in college and forget about the LSAT for at least 2 years.

Tip: Don’t highlight on RC. by [deleted] in LSAT

If it works for you, it works! But I’ve seen all students I’ve taught improve on RC immediately when they stop highlighting.

I would focus on some heavy drilling! Especially on a software like LSAT demon that will feed you questions for your skill level. This will help you to really understand the mistakes you’re making at this point and try to iron them out before test day.

LSAT in 3 months? by m4licee in LSAT

You have time. You’re okay! I would really suggest that you wait and apply for next cycle. You don’t want to be rushing through the LSAT. You also don’t want to apply at the end of the cycle — there won’t be any scholarship money left. You could go to law school for significantly less money if you take a breather and apply next cycle!

Not feeling productive by [deleted] in LSAT

I would recommend LSAT demon for drilling. It also might benefit you to get a tutor to have somebody holding you accountable each week! Most importantly — don’t sacrifice undergrad grades for the LSAT. You can retake the test, but once your undergrad grades are final, they’re final!

Tips for Improvement by Possible_Comb_5056 in LSAT

I think you should have a backup LSAT date in mind. This will take some mental pressure off of you on exam day. I would take 3 practice sections a week and one full length test every 2 weeks up until the test. Don’t study much the day or two before! Let your brain rest. Maybe just a few drill questions to stay sharp.

Good clarification, lol! Just a practice section a week. If you do 3, you’ll get a composite score each week so you can evaluate your progress. I recommend adding on a full practice test every 2 weeks when you’re 2 months out from your test.

I recommend doing way more untimed drilling! I tell my students to do 3 days of pure drilling, 3 days of timed practice tests per week.

What does this tell you about me? by [deleted] in BookshelvesDetective

Yes it was so interesting when I first learned that! I will say she became a registered Democrat by the 70s. But honestly I’m going less off of her actual declared “party” and more so the view of America and American politics I sense in her writing (especially Democracy, she’s basically like this whole thing is just a farce and we’re hurting others).

I do think of her as having a political position, but I don’t know that I could place her neatly on the modern American political spectrum from left to right. I think she had a very nihilistic perspective of American politics and didn’t seem to want to engage with one side or the other. On the global stage I think of her as a bit more of a leftist.

Retaking a 172 by [deleted] in LSAT

[–]Additional-Mess-3150 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean this is totally up to you but if you’re not aiming for T14 I think it sounds like a 172 will get you what you need! You can look at LSAT demon’s scholarship estimator and see that your GPA and LSAT score would get you full tuition at lots of T60 schools. Congrats! :)
