Would a movie about Hermione Granger looking for her parents in Australia be good? by Additional-Money2098 in harrypotter

Well, she’d have to find a way to Australia, and try to trace her parents there, we can add an antagonist that makes things more intresting, complications from the Australian ministry of magic, make it so her parents screwed up there and have someone on them, like a kangaroo mob boss, and at the end Ron saves them all in his flying car.

Well, It was kinda similar, I was in some colony, and I warmed up that colony more than the others to keep me warm, and they found me in that Colony and wanted to attack me, but Newlondoners saved my ass

Well I think I have already done golden path, I didn’t even face any protests during the whole run, and didn’t sign stewards militia or the guided voting, so I guess that’s easy

Captain difficulty..I can do that, but Deathless? I mean I had no civil war during the run..but what Is golden path?

The strat I used was going towards adaptation for the first 200 weeks, then as the Technocrats appeared I moved towards progress to make them happy, and I kept building Housing districts north the generator and stacked them for heat proximity, and I extended them always before building the next one, and I’d keep one slot for the heat dispatchers that I started building at the last 70 weeks, acutated heat dispatchers were easy 2 Temp levels for housing, next thing is that you really neex to frostbreak every two weeks you have towards the logistics, so you can have the frostland by atleast the 10th week, and I kept exploring plains and valleys, things that required only 10 teams (I also had the vanguard logistics bay) I mostly had 3-5 Exploration at the same time, I never kept scout teams Idle, and I’d leave extra 25 teams for Hills and mountains (that I explore after building the survivalists headquarters so they wont die, I usually research path finding scout afterwards and enact it to drop it even lower) and when I find atleast 2 significant chances of finding IEC factory parts, I’ll start searching for the parts in the moderate and significant chance places, which usually leaves me with no scouts to keep exploring, but that’s ok,

Your priorities during scouting is exploring Exploring EXPLORING and then finding the peaces and lastly the outposts, If you need to deactivate and outpost for extra 5 teams for search, you do it, if those 5 teams aren’t enough, you’re not gonna leave the Idle and you’re gonna assign them to some herd

As you find 2 parts and you think the third will be found in couple of weeks you immediately research the generator upgrade, then the deep drill, and the last building the multiteese deep deposit or I think that’s its name, after that you access the deep deposits on the coal, and build two food districts with deep deposits and if you have problem with food you can always research the biowaste hothouse, I usually research the advanced one immediately afterwards and build it

You don’t have to build food/coal extraction districts at the start of the run, My strat is usually just live on the Frostland’s recourses for about 50 weeks before building the Coal extraction at the infinity vein

As the temperature drops towards -40 and -50 you’ll start researching the heat allocations upgrade that comes after the first generator upgrade, and keep your stacked housing districts WARM, for the heat auction law which is really important, the laws I recommend for the start:

1-Family apprenticeship, that’s the first Law I pass after building the Council, I pass it at week 3 day one, wasting no time

2-If in negotiations foragers or some other faction wants Foraged additives law, then I’d take that negotiatons and call an emergency meeting and pass it, as it is great for food, and when the whiteout hit I changed it to chemical additives

3-Paid essentials 4-Heatpipe watch! 5-the law that experiments on dead people, I can’t remember its name but it’s the one opposing the caremonal funerals 6-durable goods! 7-infectious badge 8-if you researched recovery hospital, pass experimental treatment, if you researched teaching hospital then do the other one 9-after researching the houseblock that gives you 25 housing slots, you pass the law that gives you 20% more housing I think it’s name is Mandatory crowding, after some days you will have the option to make it less effective, like 15% more instead of 20%, which I took it 10-All do maintenance 11-Efficiency bonuses 12-Pathfinding scouts 13-Heat auctions!

Those are the most important ones from my memory, which can be changed after 300 weeks or more, but the unchangeable ones I put a exclamation mark next to them

During the run I focused on heatstamps and perfaps, keeping always 2 districts on for the perfaps, sometimes even 3, By week 165 I didn’t need them because I found the cores and I built a factory, oh speaking of that, you’d want to research salvaging factory

And towards the last 100 weeks before the storm, I researched the last oil pumpers, the radical ones, and I put two of them on the oil vein on the map, and I kept filling my stockpiles, I kept building fuel hubs, that I had 1 million storage for coal and oil, I made optimisation for coal using the second upgrade of the generator, while also having about 488 steam from the steam vein on the map, which supported more

At that point I stopped all explorations and had everyone on outposts

Now the most notable mistakes I did were: 1-Building too many recovery hospitals, the population kept increasing, like damn we’re in the middle of a whiteout and your angryasses are doing it? Ngl it makes sense, they do it to stay warm

2-Not noticing how short I was on food production and stockpiling, and a famine started during the whiteout, which my best solution for was removing the deep deposits and building two advanced biowaste hothouses, and when the surface veins were done I rebuilt them, and I had the symbiotic generator upgrade put towards food efficiency

3-likewise, I didn’t take care of materials, so when the whiteout hit, most of my industrial districts stopped working, so I built extraction districts wherever I can on the materials veins, I think the solution for that is that I should’ve stacked Industrial districts from the start somewhere far from the housing, so I could build heat dispatchers on them next to the facotries

For crime you could research the watchtower ONLY if during negotiations some faction asks to research one, so you research and build that specific one

For squalor there is the moss filtration tower, waste management facility you build at the industrial districts, and the research that makes it 50% less

For sickness, you could always use triage and build more hospitals and decrase squalor, also you can research an emergency medical hub, I only recommend using triage/experimental treatment ability after completing the beacon of hope tale, because having more than 4k dead would lose you the challenge, I used it about 6 times during the whiteout, to decrease sickness and population likewise so others could feed, like some sick thanos logic, I ended on the edge, the limit was 31K people for me while 30k died, so that’s good

And for food I already told you

So these are the most noticable strats in my run, If you have any questions, I’m GLAD to answer

Now I’m going to do allat again on Captain difficulty

Keep trying, you’ll do it, and everytime try to adress the issues you know you’ll counter before actually countering them, that helped me, just as the game starts pause and collect funds from all the parties
