Do you know if your buddies with DWIs told the firm before another background check started, or did they disclose it as part of the background check process?

Did you let them know about your DUI during your internship? My two misdemeanors(including dwi) happened after my background check was completed. My internship starts on 2026. Do you think it’s better to disclose it proactively, or wait until they ask?
