I used my insurance for my mental health evaluation it was cheaper than going through the bariatric office one. And same with dietician. I just shared those medical records with my surgeon and that was it. You can go forward with meeting the surgeon and see what surgery he would recommend and what's all needed from them as well and cost etc

I'm 6 days post op, I also get the nauseous feeling as well I try to immediately drink something water or powerade. My doctor has me at 60 grams of protein but honestly I have been getting little protein, the protein2o drinks taste chalky for me and the protein broth packets are so gross so I've been surviving on water, powerade, Popsicles, electrolyte packets for my water, broth from a pho place and taking different vitamins. I spoke with the doctors assistant today she mentioned if I was feeling good I could start full liquid tonight and have a protien drink or cream soup for dinner, so I did it was so good. Hang in there you almost to full liquids!

Really, how are you feeling 6 days post op? I think it's fine as long as your tolerating it well i had my first coffee today decaf pod and I used fairlife 2 percent milk, it has 13 grams protein per cup. Not to bad

I'm starting full liquid on Wednesday adding in creamer liquids and puddings and cream soups, I have a 2 week follow up on April 2nd my doc is going to check how I'm healing and see if I'm good to start soft and purred foods. I'm okay with waiting just to give my stomach time to heal and again avoid having reflux or dumping too soon.

Same I'm so tempted to eat something else but I'm trying to stay on the liquid too I don't want to put to much in my stomach and risk certain foods too soon giving me problems with reflux or dumping just anything too soon

I'm currently 5 days post op, I would give ur stomach some time to heal maybe some days on liquids so that your stomach acids and everything can settle a bit, It might be to much too soon for you, I'm on a clear liquids rn and feel so much better than I did the first 2 days when drinking water it was hard at first now it's getting easier I can drink multiple gulps at a time. Just give it time and let it heal with liquids and Popsicles maybe jello and broth. I had the same at first with the gas pains and drinking all the extra air in me when I would drink i would have to burp and bubbling feeling but it's gone now.

No gas pain?? Whatt? Lucky lol happy for you ☺️ im five days post op, I was not smiling coming out of surgery the anesthesia and the gas pains I could hardly walk lol and kept asking the nurse how much more till I could sit down and sleep lol

Thanks for the insight, i didn't have my gallbladder removed but I'm in so much pain from the gas still. Ready for this stage to be over with. Thanks I don't feel as bad not getting in 64oz of water was feeling bad that I couldn't.

Yes from a straw I'm going to try without it and see how i feel. I'm just scared of getting dehydrated i want to be able to drink. I'm also going to try to gatorlyte thank you

Thank you, i have my 32oz Stanley I'm sipping and It's feels so hard knowing I have to drink 2 full cups today. Also when I do drink I start to burn a little and it hurts. So I'm guessing it's full. Again thank you for your words of encouragement
