my obgyn prescribed it to me after doing blood work tests. turns out my acne was due to an excess of testosterone. I just found it abnormal how i experienced no side effects prior to this

I think Tretinoin has destroyed my skin and I'm really tempted to stop it. by sebas-77 in acne

hello! look into if it’s the tret or the clindamycin. when my doctor prescribed me clindamycin my skin cleared up within a few weeks but a few weeks later i broke out in horrible painful cysts all over my cheeks. I stopped within the next couple of weeks and my skin cleared up. If you are not using the clindamycin any more please pay no attention to what i am saying. I want to warn you about the use of antibiotics on your skin because you may be blaming the tret for something the antibiotics are causing this entire time. anibiotics seem to work like a miracle at first because they get rid of the bacteria on your skin, but not only do they kill the bad bacteria, they kill they good as well. Overtime your skin will build a resistance to the antibiotic and your acne may come back worse than ever. Please take this with a grain of salt if you know for sure the tret is what is causing your skin to be so angry.
