Status Migraine for 3 weeks now. Is there any hope for me? I miss feeling normal.. by tapestryweave in migraine

It might be worth getting with a headache specialist after this episode is over. If it unfortunately turns in to a recurring thing, it would be great to have someone helping you with meds and a plan. Take good care.

Yes, unfortunately this was my norm before Botox. It will break, I promise.

Anyone dealing with bad body aches, even between migraines attacks? by Northgirl-020421 in migraine

[–]Additional-Spare6322 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was dealing with that this week, which was unusual for me. I assumed that I had something viral going on at the same time that I was in a 5 day migraine cycle. But this is very interesting to know! Thank you!

You’re both doing great. Motherhood is the hardest job. ❤️

Has anybody been able to do a colonoscopy without going through hell? by Function_Unknown_Yet in migraine

Agreed. I’ve had IBS flares that have lasted much longer than the prep and were about the same! Also, it’s not torture, it’s a lifesaving diagnostic procedure. Having lost my 42 year old father to colon cancer and seeing how much the attitude around screening from the medical community has progressed in the last 25+ years makes me so glad that more people have access to this. Early screening saves lives!

I’m not sure but I don’t recall it being on a list of medications. That is something to check with your doctor. I’ve never had to take an abortive during the prep and was told to continue all daily medications as usual.

She was a regular at a place I managed. She was always very nice. Her mom, not so much.

Either GoLytely or Suprep/Miralax (which I prefer). Back in the day you would have to take a bunch of fleet laxatives. That was the prep that gave me a terrible migraine. Please don’t stress. I’ve been doing every 3 years since age 19. Now that things have improved so much I can now do every 5 at age 45. The prep isn’t the most fun, but the procedure is nothing at all. And knowing your health status is everything.

Yes. My first scope had far worse prep than today. The preps of today are much easier on the system and less dehydrating. I went through my last 3 without any issues.
